X Follows
Follow any account on X and Prysm sends their new posts to your chat shortly after they post. Each follow has its own switches, so you choose what you get from each account.
To get a card when someone pastes an X link in a group, see X Post & Profile Cards instead.
Follow an account
Section titled “Follow an account”Send /xfollow with their handle:
/xfollow @solana
A profile link (x.com/solana) works too. Prysm answers with the account’s
page and their switches. Nothing they posted before you followed is sent.
To stop, send /xunfollow with the same handle.
Follow for a set time
Section titled “Follow for a set time”Add a time after the name and Prysm stops following by itself when it runs out:
/xfollow @solana 3d
Use m, h, d or w (minutes, hours, days, weeks), from 10 minutes up to 90 days. The list shows
how long is left, and the chat gets a short note when the follow ends. Following the same account again
with a new time starts a fresh timer; without a time the follow has no end.
Add a note
Section titled “Add a note”Write why you follow them after the name (and after the time, if you set one):
/xfollow @solana 3d early caller, dev of $PEPE
The note is up to 100 characters. It shows on the account’s page and under its name in /x, and
under each of their posts in this chat. To keep it off the posts, turn Show notes on posts off at
the top of /x. Change or remove it with Edit note on the account’s page. Following them again
with a new note replaces it; without one the note stays.
Follow several at once
Section titled “Follow several at once”Name more than one, each with its @, or reply /xfollow to a message to pick up every X account it
mentions or links (up to 10):
/xfollow @solana @base
Prysm shows them first. Tap any you don’t want, set the switches once for all of them, then tap Follow. The ones this chat already follows are left as they are. A time or a note you add applies to each new follow; a reply without a note notes the message it came from.
What you get
Section titled “What you get”| Switch | What it sends | Starts |
|---|---|---|
| Posts | Their own posts | On |
| Replies | Their replies to other people’s posts | Off |
| Quotes | Posts where they quote another post | Off |
| Reposts | Posts they repost, with the original text | Off |
| Deleted CA | A post of theirs that named a contract, if they delete it | Off |
| Profile changes | When they change their name, handle, bio, location or profile picture | Off |
Each alert shows who posted, what kind of post it is and when, the text (long posts are shortened so the chat stays tidy), any picture, and an Open on X button. A quote also shows the post it quotes. When a post names a contract, the alert shows it shortened with a copy button.
Deleted contracts
Section titled “Deleted contracts”Some accounts name a contract and delete the post soon after. With Deleted CA on, Prysm keeps an eye on every post from the accounts you follow that names a contract, and tells you if one disappears. The alert shows what the post said, each contract with a copy button, and how long the post stayed up.
- A post only counts as deleted when X shows that its author deleted it and the account is still active. If an account is suspended or protected, its posts disappear for other reasons, and Prysm says nothing.
- You only hear about posts made after you followed the account.
- Prysm keeps the first part of the text, the contracts and the times, and looks at each post for 30 days.
Profile changes
Section titled “Profile changes”Switch Profile changes on for an account and Prysm tells you when they change their name, handle, bio, location or profile picture. The alert shows what it was and what it is now, and the new picture when they changed it.
- Changes to the name, bio, location or picture arrive within seconds. A new handle is noticed the next time the account posts, so it can come a little later.
- Only changes made after you followed the account are sent, and the first time Prysm sees an account it only records how it looks.
Change what you get
Section titled “Change what you get”Send /x to see every account this chat follows and what each one sends.
Tap ✏️ next to an account to open their switches and flip any of them. 🗑
unfollows them.
In a group
Section titled “In a group”- Alerts go to the group, in the forum topic where the follow was added.
- Anyone can send
/xto see the list. - Only group admins can follow, unfollow or change the switches.
