Add to a Group
Prysm runs in any Telegram group. The bot keeps a single shared watchlist for the group, separate from each member’s personal DM watchlist. This page walks through the join, the welcome message, and the one decision the bot will ask you to make.
Add the bot
Section titled “Add the bot”-
Open Telegram and search for
@PrysmTokenTrackerBotin the global search bar. -
Open the bot’s profile and tap the menu (the three dots on mobile, or Add to Group or Channel on desktop).

Pick the group you want Prysm in. Telegram will confirm the add — accept, and the bot joins.
The moment the bot joins, it posts a welcome message in the group.

The two bracketed entries at the bottom are inline buttons attached to the welcome message — tap them, don’t type them.
Silent Auto-Track is the default
Section titled “Silent Auto-Track is the default”New groups start in Silent Auto-Track. Every contract address
pasted in the group is validated and quietly added to the group’s
auto-track watchlist — no reply card, no notification, no clutter
in the chat. Each auto-tracked token expires after a configurable
TTL, and the list has a fixed size — once full, the oldest token is
dropped to make room. It’s designed for high-traffic trading groups
where the bot should be invisible until you ask for /list.
The two buttons
Section titled “The two buttons”The buttons under the welcome message let you change tracking mode without typing a command:
- 🔍 Switch to Manual Mode — flips the group out of Silent Auto-Track. Pastes will now produce a visible preview card with an explicit add button instead of being silently captured.
- ⚙️ Settings — opens the group’s tracking-settings panel, where you can toggle Silent Auto-Track back on, change the auto-track TTL, or set a minimum number of pastes before a contract qualifies for auto-tracking.
You can also reach the same panel any time with /settings in the
group.
Manual Mode
Section titled “Manual Mode”If you switch to Manual Mode, every pasted contract triggers a preview card showing the token’s symbol, price, market cap, and an add button. Nothing enters the group’s watchlist until someone taps the button. It’s the right fit for low-traffic groups where you want every paste to surface as a message and want full control over what goes on the watchlist.
Privacy-mode caveat
Section titled “Privacy-mode caveat”The welcome message’s “Add me as admin to enable contract detection!” line is a reminder of this. Until one of the two fixes is in place, the bot will only respond to slash commands, and Silent Auto-Track has nothing to capture.
