Group Settings

When you run /settings inside a group, Prysm opens a panel that’s distinct from your personal DM settings. Anything you change here applies to the group as a whole — every member who runs /list or pastes a contract sees the result, regardless of their own DM preferences.

/settings in a group opens with two buttons:

  • 📊 Display — chart provider, sort order, price-change period, and compact pagination. These drive what /list, /compact, and the chain-filter views show in the group.
  • 🔍 Tracking — auto-detect toggle, the Silent Auto-Track sub-panel (TTL, list size, minimum pastes, clear-all), and the group’s bag-target percentage.

There’s no third “general” tab — every per-group preference lives under one of those two menus.

The Display submenu controls how token lists render for everyone in the group.

SettingWhat it doesDefault
Chart ProviderWhich chart service the chart link on every token row points to. Choices: DexScreener, DexTools, Defined, GMGN.DexScreener
Sort ByHow /list, /compact, and chain-filter views are ordered. Choices: 24h Change, Market Cap, Date Added. Always descending.24h Change
Price ChangeWhich window the percent-change column reflects. Choices: 1h, 6h, 24h. When Sort By is set to price change, the list also sorts on this window.24h
Compact PaginationWhether /compact paginates in this group, plus the page size when it does.Enabled
Page SizeTokens per page in /compact when pagination is on. Choices: 25, 50.50

A few notes the table can’t show:

  • Auto-tracked tokens (Silent Auto-Track) always render their percent-change as 1h regardless of the group’s Price Change setting. The Price Change selector only affects manually-added group tokens.
  • The Compact Pagination toggle and Page Size sit on the same sub-screen. Toggling pagination off hides the page-size effect but doesn’t reset the stored value.
  • /list and /detailed paginate at a fixed 25 per page in every context — the page-size setting only applies to /compact.

The Tracking submenu is where you decide how the bot reacts to contract addresses pasted in chat.

SettingWhat it doesDefault
Auto-Detect TokensWhen on, the bot inspects every message for a contract address and reacts (either silently if Silent Auto-Track is on, or with a preview card in Manual Mode). Off means only explicit slash commands work.Enabled
Silent Auto-TrackThe default tracking mode for new groups. Pasted contracts are quietly added to a separate auto-track list with a TTL, a paste-count threshold, and FIFO eviction.Enabled
Bag TargetThe supply percentage /bag uses when calculating how much native token you need to acquire that share of every tracked token in the group.1%

Inside the Silent Auto-Track button is a deeper panel:

  • Period — how long an auto-tracked token survives before expiring. 1h, 6h, 12h, 1d, 3d, or 7d.
  • Min Pastes — how many times a contract has to appear (within the period) before it qualifies for auto-tracking. 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x. Higher values filter out one-off mentions.
  • Clear All — wipes the group’s current auto-tracked list in one tap. Doesn’t change the toggle or the period.

The list size for Silent Auto-Track is fixed per group and shown in the panel as Tracked: X/Y. If the cap is too small for your group, contact the bot owner to request a higher one.

How group settings override personal settings

Section titled “How group settings override personal settings”

This is the rule that catches people out: when a member runs /list, /compact, or a chain-filter shortcut inside a group, the group’s display settings win — not theirs.

What’s used in a groupWhat’s used in DM
Group’s chart providerYour chart provider
Group’s sort orderYour sort order
Group’s price-change periodYour price-change period
Group’s compact pagination + page sizeYour compact pagination + page size

Holdings, total portfolio value, and the personal alert flow stay DM-only and don’t surface in groups at all. Only the display preferences are overridden — your personal watchlist, alerts, and holdings remain entirely private.

Each group has a default token cap of 6 tokens. This isn’t user-tunable from /settings. If your group needs more headroom, contact the bot owner to request a higher limit. The same applies to the Silent Auto-Track list size shown in the auto-track panel.

Walkthrough: change the group’s chart provider

Section titled “Walkthrough: change the group’s chart provider”
  1. In the group, send /settings. The bot replies with a two-button panel: 📊 Display and 🔍 Tracking.

  2. Tap 📊 Display. The submenu opens, listing the current chart provider, sort order, price-change period, and pagination state.

  3. Tap 📊 Chart Provider. A four-option keyboard appears: DexScreener, DexTools, Defined, GMGN. The current pick has a ✓ next to it.

  4. Tap your choice — for example, DexTools. The bot acknowledges with a toast (✅ Chart provider set to DexTools) and refreshes the panel with the new selection checked. The change is saved immediately; there’s no separate confirm step.

  5. Verify with /list. Every token row now links to DexTools rather than DexScreener. The provider abbreviation in the list message updates accordingly.

The same pattern applies to every other setting on the page: tap, pick, the bot confirms, the change is live.
