Bot Permissions
Prysm works in your group as soon as you add it. Paste detection, slash commands, watchlists, alerts — none of it needs admin status. The one feature that does benefit from admin is chat cleanup in Manual Mode: deleting the original contract message after the bot posts its preview card.
If you don’t use Manual Mode, you can skip this page entirely.
What works without admin
Section titled “What works without admin”| Feature | Works as a regular member? |
|---|---|
| Paste detection (Silent Auto-Track) | ✅ |
| Paste detection (Manual Mode preview cards) | ✅ |
Slash commands (/add, /list, /og, /settings, etc.) | ✅ |
| Replies and inline button taps | ✅ |
| Bulk paste (multiple contracts in one message) | ✅ |
| Manual Mode — delete the original paste after preview | ❌ |
The last row is the only behaviour gated on admin status. The bot posts a preview card either way; without Delete messages permission, the original paste just stays in the chat below it.
When you might want to grant admin
Section titled “When you might want to grant admin”If your group runs in Manual Mode and you care about keeping the chat tidy, promoting Prysm with the Delete messages permission lets it clean up after itself: each pasted contract is removed once the preview card is up, so the chat shows the card instead of the raw address followed by the card.
For Silent Auto-Track groups (the default mode), admin status adds nothing — the bot doesn’t post anything in response to pastes, so there’s nothing to clean up.

What each permission actually does
Section titled “What each permission actually does”Telegram’s admin screen lists ~10 permission toggles. Prysm only uses one:
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
| Delete messages | After Prysm posts a preview card in Manual Mode, it removes the original paste so the chat stays clean. |
Everything else — pin, ban, restrict, promote, change info, manage video chats — Prysm never calls. Leaving those unchecked costs you nothing and keeps the bot’s footprint small.
